How do I get the original window sticker (Monroney Label) for my Buick?

To generate an original Monroney label for your Buick vehicle, use the following Window Sticker Tool. You will receive a digital copy of the original Window Sticker that will be 100% accurate and provide you with the trim level, packages, and/or options your car was originally equipped with.

To receive your new sticker, all you need is your VIN and a phone number you would like the sticker PDF file link to be sent to.

What do I need to get the window sticker (Vehicle VIN)?

To use the WithClutch sticker tool you will need your VIN (Vehicle identification number). A VIN is a string of 17 alphanumeric characters (numbers and capital letters). It serves as a code unique to your vehicle and gives you access to manufacturer recalls, vehicle records, thefts, etc.

Where do I find the VIN for my Buick?

The VIN for your Buick is usually located in two places.

  1. On the driver’s side doorjamb

  2. The left corner of the dashboard where it joins the windshield

  • Sometimes it is a vinyl decal

Other places you can find the VIN is on:

  • Vehicle registration documents

  • Insurance cards

  • Vehicle service invoices

What’s the difference between a VIN decoder, Monroney Label, and Window Sticker?

A VIN decoder runs your vehicle identification number through a database to verify the following vehicle history information:

  • Model year, Location of assembly, and production number

  • Number of owners over the vehicle’s life

  • Current state/last state to title the vehicle

  • A record of applicable recalls, warranties, registration, thefts, and insurance coverage

The United States requires that a Monroney Label, also known as a Window Sticker, be displayed on the car window of a new vehicle to disclose its equipment and pricing information. In 2013 it was updated to include:

  • Vehicle identification number (VIN)

  • Engine type

  • EPA fuel economy rating

  • Government safety ratings

  • Warranty details

  • MSRP with standard options and features

  • Additional manufacturer options and pricing information

  • Total vehicle price including all features

For example, the 2020 Buick Enclave can be outfitted with one of the four following trims:

  1. Preferred

  2. Essence

  3. Premium

  4. Avenir

Since Buick is a luxury line, even the entry-level model, the Buick Enclave Preferred comes standard with some premium features. You can upgrade the trim level to get more premium vehicle features, but expect to pay more for the additional options. What does the window sticker not provide?

The purpose of a window sticker is to provide information on what equipment a vehicle has immediately post-production. Therefore, a window sticker is most accurate when the vehicle has just left the manufacturer, and will not reflect any modifications added by the dealer or other current/previous owners, including parts that have been repaired or replaced.

Regardless of where you purchased your vehicle from, whether it be a Buick dealership or a private seller, the window sticker does not provide information pertaining to the vehicle’s current condition or history. To obtain those kinds of records, we recommend services such as Carfax, Autocheck, and to have your vehicle inspected by a certified professional.

Finally, the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) will not be a good indication of the vehicle’s current value as it does not take into account natural wear and depreciation. The car may sell for less when considering negotiations and discounts.

When does this Free Buick Window Sticker Tool or VIN decoder not work?

Currently, the WithCluth Monroney label tool only supports vehicles that are 2013 Model Year and newer. Additionally, there are other limitations that may be applicable to you:

  • The VIN is not 17 characters long (applies to vehicles model year 1981 and older)

  • The VIN cannot be verified by certified techniques:

    • Checksum: The 9th digit of the VIN (limited to numbers 0-9 or the letter X) of US and Canadian vehicles is used in an algorithm to determine its validity

    • Illegal character check: With the exception of letters, I, O, and Q, a VIN can include any alphanumeric character

  • Your vehicle is too new and has not been add to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) database
